Air quality alarm
An air quality warning has been issued for New York City, the Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey until noon Monday due to smoke from several forest fires in the area.
Rain returns to the forecast for New York, New Jersey
Tomorrow will start with some sunshine before cloud increases during the morning. It will be mainly cloudy on Sunday afternoon, but it will probably remain dry until sunset.
For the first time in 40 days we will get some rain on Sunday night! It won’t be enough to make a dent in our deficit, but we’ll take what we can get.
Looking ahead
Light showers will pass through in the evening and night. Some residual rain will fall early Monday morning, but will quickly clear by sunrise.
Monday will be milder with highs in the 60s. Then the weather will cool off for a midweek under mostly sunny skies.
