MINNEAPOLIS— Early morning storms will move through Minnesota Monday morning, with more possible later in the day.
Many communities will experience significant rainfall Monday as a system stretching from southern to central Minnesota moves from west to east. Those early morning storms will bring strong winds and lots of lightning. There is a severe thunderstorm warning in southern, central and southeastern Minnesota until 10 a.m.
The second round will develop in the west during the afternoon, bringing strong storms north of Interstate 94. Rain will continue into the overnight hours in northern Minnesota.
Most of the state, from the Twin Cities north, is under flood watch.
Rain and clouds will keep temperatures to the mid-70s on Monday. Tuesday will be much warmer, with highs in the 80s. Temperatures will drop back into the mid-70s by mid-week.
The rest of the week also looks stormy, with multiple disruptions potentially affecting us each day. Even the weekend looks stormy at the moment.
