Anthony Richardson throws a breathtaking throw for a 60-yard touchdown

Everyone knows the Anthony Richardson experience is going to be a thrill. If his first touchdown throw of the season didn’t excite you, maybe you should check your pulse.

Richardson, the second-year quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, has one of the best arms in the league. And he showed it in the first quarter of the season opener. Richardson stumbled in the pocket and then threw off his back foot from his own 32-yard line deep to Alec Pierce. Deep.

Pierce caught the pass at about the Houston Texans’ 2-yard line. In the air, that’s a throw of about 66 yards, and Richardson had no chance to get into position. Officially, it was a 60-yard touchdown.

Wow.

It won’t all be great with Richardson. Earlier in the game against the Texans, he missed a fourth-and-1 pass. But the highlights will be great. He had his first of the season early in the game against the Texans.
