A group of protesters calling for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas caused a traffic jam for commuters as they entered the southbound 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles on Tuesday morning.
The freeway, near National Boulevard, was briefly closed around 9 a.m. before California Highway Patrol officers arrived and rounded up the group. The protesters were herded to the shoulder of the road and escorted off the freeway by officers.
As of 9:50 a.m., there were no reports of injuries or arrests, but officers did arrest a small group of protesters.
This is a developing story.
