Armed carjacking leads to chase in New Berlin; suspects in general, police say

Two armed carjacking suspects fled the stolen vehicle after it was stopped by New Berlin police officers around 4 p.m. Friday and remain at large.

A new news release from the Berlin Police Department said the vehicle fled from officers near South Sunny Slope Road and West Fieldpointe Drive.

A police car then made contact with the vehicle, successfully forcing it to a stop at Cardinal Crest and Wilson Drive in the town of Brookfield.

At least two suspects who were not already in custody then fled the vehicle, the release said.

No officers were injured.

According to police, the case is being actively investigated.
