Authorities say a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Broward that left an 18-year-old girl dead in July.
Investigators identified Tyler Mobley as the suspect and arrested him Monday in Sunrise, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday.
On July 15, BSO officers and North Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to a shooting call near the 1000 block of Southwest 76th Avenue.
When first responders arrived, they found Bryanna Nina with multiple gunshot wounds. She was rushed to Broward Health North, where she was later pronounced dead, according to BSO.
BSO said witnesses saw Nina standing outside an apartment complex when unknown individuals exited a dark-colored vehicle and began shooting before fleeing the scene.
Nina’s obituary describes her as an old soul, loved and cherished by her family.
“Bryanna was always special, an old soul with a unique gift of intuition,” the obituary said. “[She] was the life of the party, known for her straight forward, sassy attitude. Her spirit and resilience shine brightly and leave an incredible mark on everyone she met.
BSO said Mobley is facing one count of first-degree murder and a “slew of probation violation charges.”
He is being held without bond at the Broward Main Jail Office.
