(CBS-DETROIT) – Authorities in suburban Detroit are informing residents and community members about recent thefts of steering wheels and airbags.
The Fraser Department of Public Safety received several reports of similar thefts over the weekend.
In all cases, all of the targeted vehicles were Chevrolet Malibus.
Malibus owners are advised to keep their doors locked, windows closed and a close eye on their vehicles. They are also encouraged to park their vehicles in areas with adequate pedestrian traffic.
Community members are encouraged to always be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
