Authorities identify the body found at the Adams County home and report a second body was also discovered there

STRONGS PRAIRIE — A body found in a home in the Adams County town of Strongs Prairie was identified Thursday as Sharon K. Miller, also known to friends as Sharon Miller-Robinson, according to a Sunday afternoon news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office .

The Sheriff’s Office also reported Sunday morning that a second body, identified as Miller’s son, Jami L. Lumby, was discovered at the home.

The cause of death has yet to be determined by autopsy, but both individuals are being investigated for suspicious causes of death, the release said.

According to a Friday news release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a caller at 8:19 a.m. Thursday reported being unable to contact 62-year-old Miller for three days. The caller went to Miller’s home in Strongs Prairie and could not find Miller or her son, 37. Officers checked Miller’s property and did not find her or Lumby, according to the release. Officers did find an area where the ground had been disturbed and it appeared as if someone had buried something. Officers obtained a search warrant and found the body of an adult, now identified as Miller, on the property.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says it “remains committed to this investigation and has devoted all available resources to this investigation.”

Adams County Sheriff’s Office personnel and special agents from the Wisconsin Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation continue to collect and analyze evidence and conduct interviews. DOJ Crime Response specialists are assisting family members with this investigation.

The agencies are asking for the public’s assistance if anyone has had recent contact with Miller or Lumby to contact the Adams County Sheriff’s Office at 608-339-3304.
