WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Former “Jackass” star Bam Margera will spend six months on probation after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct Wednesday following an altercation at his home near Philadelphia.

Margera, 44, was charged with to attack his brother and making threats against other family members during what the brother called a “frightening and unpredictable” two-week home visit last year.

The plea ends long legal battle which arose from his residence at the Chester County home known as Castle Bam. During a hearing last year Margera told the judge he received drug and alcohol treatment.

Jess Margera, at the same court hearing, called his brother “a good guy when he doesn’t make a mess,” but said he had been exhibiting disturbing behavior for 20 years and, while at home, had been awake for days. Jess Margera suffered a ruptured eardrum during the altercation, while Margera’s girlfriend called police when he kicked in her bedroom door, the brother testified.

Attorney William J. Brennan said Margera pleaded guilty to two misdemeanors and is now clean, sober and productive a year after her arrest.

“I guess you could say he won his case before today, just by improving his life,” Brennan said Wednesday.
