PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – High pressure is controlling the weather here in the Philadelphia area, and it will be a sunny, beautiful day with a light breeze and a high of 83 degrees in the city.
Like we said, but we remind you again: this is great weather to get outside for a walk, jog, bike ride, throw Frisbee or whatever you like. If you can go outside, do so!
The dew point is also still at a comfortable level, between 45 and 50 on Saturday.
At night, temperatures drop to 62 degrees, but skies remain clear. It will still be fluffy.
Clouds will increase on Sunday. Between late morning and mid-afternoon there will be some sun, but also an occasional shower. Temperatures are about the same with a high of 82 degrees in the city.
There may also be some isolated showers on Monday.
The rest of the week will be at least partly sunny, if not mostly sunny, and high temperatures will continue to rise. We reached 88 degrees on Thursday and we could pass 90 degrees on Friday, with the heat dome over the western US shifting east towards us by the end of the week.
Friday could be the start of a string of 90-degree days in Philadelphia, even though we haven’t even reached the start of astronomical summer yet — that’s June 20 at 4:51 p.m.
