Ben Stiller had a blast filming the “top secret” sequel Happy Gilmore – and it doesn’t sound like his character has become more likable.
In November, fans learned that he will reappear as “Hal L.,” a nursing home nurse in the beloved 1996 comedy, after paparazzi snapped photos of him on set with Adam Sandler. Stiller told Yahoo Entertainment that “there’s nothing like” being on set with his friend.
“We can’t release any details, but honestly it was so much fun,” Stiller said while promoting his holiday film. Nutcrackers. “How often do you get to play such a ridiculous character? I think I’ve had the chance to play a few over the years, but this one is just so mean and he hates Happy so much. Details of the film have been kept under wraps, but in addition to Stiller, there is another famous name attached to it: Travis Kelce. When asked if they had any scenes together, Stiller said no. However, the actor is a fan of both Kelce and his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
“I didn’t run into Travis, but I did go to Taylor’s last concert, and it’s amazing. Amazing. And I saw it [Travis] from far away,” Stiller replied.
