Bengals WR Tee Higgins ready to return Monday night against Commanders

The Cincinnati Bengals will have wide receiver Tee Higgins back for Monday night’s game against the Washington Commanders.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Saturday that Higgins “feels great and can give 100 percent” after the receiver missed the first two games with a hamstring injury.

Higgins returned to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday and was back on the field on Friday, a positive sign for the 0-2 Bengals that he was almost back. He had not participated in practice since Sept. 5. He did participate in pregame warmups on Sunday before their 26-25 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, prompting Taylor to say that things were “moving in a positive direction.”

Higgins said Friday he was feeling “great” and was ready to get back on the field for “Monday Night Football.”

“Obviously I was unlucky with the injury and was out for the first two weeks, but I’m finally ready to put my feet in the water this season and go for it,” said Higgins.

After collecting at least 908 yards and six touchdowns in each of his first three NFL seasons, Higgins recorded 42 catches for 656 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games in 2023.
