Berkeley Police Investigate Shooting That Left 1 Dead; No Suspect Arrested

Berkeley police reported Wednesday night that one person was killed in a shooting.

The shooting happened just before 7:30 p.m. at 2900 Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

Officers arrived on scene and found a person who had been shot. First responders rendered aid, but the victim was pronounced dead.

According to police, no suspects have yet been found or arrested.

Traffic was disrupted in the area from Ashby Avenue to Russell Street as police investigated the scene.
