BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Police have arrested a 32-year-old man after he collided with two parked cars, prompting police to give chase.

Just before 2 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 9700 block of Penn Avenue S for a collision. When officers arrived on scene, they found a suspicious car and attempted to stop it.

The car fled from police and led to a short chase. Officers then ended the chase near 98th Street and 35W.

Officers were then told that the same car was on 494 at the Penn Avenue exit and had attempted to run other cars off the road. Officers tried to stop the car again, but the driver fled a second time.

Officials were able to locate the car through the use of MNDOT traffic cameras. Officers were eventually able to stop the car at 35W at 106th Street using stop sticks and the PIT maneuver.
