Blue skies and sunshine in prospect for Southeast Michigan on Friday

(CBS DETROIT) – Persistent high pressure over Michigan will keep Friday sunny and warm.

Temperatures will start the day in the mid 40s and climb into the mid 70s by late afternoon. Blue skies and sunshine will start and end the day, while winds will be calm in the morning and turn south at 5 to 13 miles per hour in the afternoon.

If you go to the Detroit Grand Prix in the next few days, temperatures will be in the high 70s and low 80s with plenty of sunshine. However, there is a chance of rain starting as early as Saturday afternoon, but probably not until Saturday night or early Sunday morning.
