Hialeah police have taken over the investigation into the discovery of a dead man in a parked pickup truck along the Palmetto Expressway Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Officers received the report of the body shortly after noon, said Lt. Alex Camacho, a spokesman for the agency.
The Ford was parked on the shoulder of the freeway near NW 103rd Street, Camacho said in a statement.
Because the investigation is being conducted by the Hialeah Police Department, Camacho would not release any further details about the body.
Hialeah police did not immediately respond to questions about the case.
