Booville and Fright Fest return to Wild Waves

Washington’s largest theme and water park promises new thrills and thrills this fall, including a chance to win spooktacular prizes if you can spend 24 hours locked in a coffin.

Fright Fest returns to Wild Waves on October 4 and runs Friday through Sunday through November 3.

But for the children the fun already begins.

Booville, a fear-free zone with crafts, competitions, face painting and attractions.

It opens this weekend and is open Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Next week the hours will shift to a schedule of 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

“We are pulling out all the stops and leaving no headstone unturned to create a unique Halloween experience for our guests,” said Park President and Regional Vice President Jody Kneupper in a press release. “

For those looking for more tricks than treats, you can check out the Fright Fest section of the park starting Friday, October 4.

When the clock strikes 6 p.m., the monsters emerge from their haunted lairs.

Here are some of the attractions:

· Vampire bar Guests 21 years or older can enjoy specialty drinks such as Blood Bag Fangrias, Vampire Kiss and Blood Moon cocktails, along with a tasty nightly ‘bites’ menu

· Camp Whispering Pines, Curse of the Wendigo Listen to the campers’ warnings as they try to avoid the evil Wendigo. He is looking for new blood and maybe someone will cross his path

· Trail of Terror – A once lively, bustling settlement is now a creepy ghost town. Guests will test their nerves as they dare to journey beyond their wildest nightmares to discover the truth amid the crumbling tombstones

· Chamber of Souls – Unwanted visitors encounter creepy residents in the endless hallways of the haunted Victorian mansion

· Voodoo Swamp – Travel to the swampy swamp next to the lake and venture through the Voodoo Swamp. The Swamp Witch awaits unsuspecting souls. (There is a $5 fee for this attraction).

· 24 Hour Crypt Keeper Challenge – Can you be locked in a coffin all day? Those who complete the full 24 hours will receive two 2025 Wild Waves Season Passes, an All-Season Dining Plan, Fright Fest VIP passes at the front and more. Interested souls must submit a short, written request explaining why they are among the chosen ones. Applications will be available here on September 20. Selected participants will be notified on September 28.
