Boy, 13, arrested in North Spkane apartment shooting last month

May 29 – Spokane police arrest a 13-year-old boy they say shot a teenager at the Center Court Apartments in north Spokane last month.

The teen, who was 12 years old at the time of the shooting, was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center on Tuesday on suspicion of third-degree assault, reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to a police news release. Spokane Police Department.

Police responded April 24 to the apartment complex, located on North Nevada Street near Sitka Avenue, on a report that a 16-year-old had been shot in the lower back. The original call was reported as an accident, Spokane police Lt. Bart Stevens said at the time.

The teens’ names have not been released because they are minors.
