BPD seeks suspect after tow truck driver stabbed in Allston

Boston police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed on Cambridge Street in Allston.

It happened near Lone Star Taco Bar on Thursday just before 6 p.m.

Police describe the victim’s injuries as non-life-threatening.

The investigation focused on a sidewalk and a tow truck was stopped a few feet from the curb.

The owner of Brighton Towing told Boston 25 News that the stabbing victim is one of his tow truck drivers, who just started working for him two or three days ago.

He said it happened while the man was at work but did not know what led to the attack.

“I got in before the police arrived and while he was lying down,” said a woman who witnessed the aftermath. “People were trying to move on with their lives and acknowledge that someone was hurting and struggling.”

No description of the suspect was available late Thursday evening.
