Bugatti marked the end of an era with a breathtaking Grand Tour of Morocco, inviting an exclusive group of hypercar owners to celebrate the legendary W16 engine. The meeting honored two decades of hypercar dominance, with Bugatti’s 8-liter quad-turbo W16 engine setting new standards in automotive performance, combining luxury with engineering prowess.
The tour began on Morocco’s Mediterranean coast, where Bugatti owners gathered to take a scenic journey through some of North Africa’s most iconic landscapes. The convoy traveled the winding roads of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, offering breathtaking views and exciting turns. From there, the tour took in the vibrant ‘Blue Pearl’ city of Chefchaouen, ancient Roman ruins and high mountain passes, capturing the essence of Morocco’s diverse cultural and natural heritage.
As the group continued south, they reached the ‘Gateway to the Sahara’, where the hypercars climbed challenging mountain roads. These scenic yet rigorous routes allowed Bugatti drivers to fully experience the power and precision of their hypercars, especially as they navigated the winding roads through the Atlas Mountains.
The Grand Tour also offered participants the chance to immerse themselves in Morocco’s unique culture, from exploring the local cuisine to learning about its ancient history and diverse landscapes. For the selected Bugatti owners, it was more than a driving experience: it was a celebration of an era, marking the legacy of the W16 engine in one of the most fascinating environments in the world.
This Moroccan journey is a fitting tribute to the W16, combining adrenaline-fueled driving with an appreciation for the beauty and culture of Morocco, as Bugatti prepares for the next chapter in its hypercar line.
