A Chino couple was shocked to discover just after midnight Tuesday that a car had crashed into their home, leaving their home with extensive damage.
Around 12:23 p.m., Chino Valley Fire received a report of a car parked on a house. Video taken at the home in the 6000 block of Medford Court showed the black sedan resting on an overhanging patio, crashing through a window and leaving a gaping hole in the side of the home. Inside the home, broken glass and wall debris covered what appeared to be a living room. The house is marked in red.
The couple who were in the home were not injured. “And so I go downstairs and I’m only wearing shorts, and there’s glass everywhere, and all of a sudden Annie yells, ‘There’s a car in the window!’ It was like surreal,” said homeowner Steve Kobzeff.
Chino Valley Fire said the four passengers in the car survived. They were taken to hospital in serious condition.
It appears the car may have been heading south on San Antonio Avenue, where the street ends, and is met by a retaining wall, which may have launched the car.
