The 49th annual Carolina BalloonFest will bring dozens of hot air balloons and thousands of spectators to Statesville from October 18 to 20.
The three-day event includes two stages of entertainment, a children’s play area, a craft market, food and wines and craft beers from North Carolina.

Tethered hot air balloon rides are also available, weather permitting.
On Fridays and Saturdays, the popular evening balloon flights light up the night.
Know before you go
Festival opening hours are Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Saturday from 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Adult admission costs $20 on Friday, $30 on Saturday and $25 on Sunday. Admission for children aged 7 to 12 costs $10. Children aged 6 and under are admitted free.
Weekend passes cost $60 for adults and $35 for children ages 7-12.
Admission to the festival does not include balloon rides, which must be purchased directly from a participating ride pilot. Click here for more information about the balloon flights.
General parking costs $15. VIP parking costs $25. Only pre-paid parking is allowed on the festival site.
