Police are investigating the death of a minor Saturday night in Carolina Beach.
Carolina Beach police and EMS were called to Waterview Condos, 305 S. Lake Park Blvd., at 6:19 p.m. for a medical report.
Upon arrival, officers located the minor victim, who was immediately transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center Novant. The victim died shortly after arrival, according to a press release from the Carolina Beach Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing and police have indicated that no further information will be released at this time.
However, they added that it was an isolated incident and that there was no ongoing threat to the public.
