Celebrities also love to dress up in pop culture costumes

It’s the spookiest time of the year, and celebrities are all about dressing up.

Halloween may belong to Heidi Klum, but she has some major competition. While the America has talent The judge tends to choose costumes like a peacock (2023) or a worm (2022) or a zombie (2021), other stars lean heavily on pop culture. That makes them just like the rest of us – like Beetlejuice, Inside Out 2 And Deadpool and Wolverine costumes are trendy this year.

Celebrities are throwing it back, though: Halle Bailey earned Oscar-winner praise as Halle Berry, Janelle Monáe went big on prosthetics to become ’80s alien ET, and Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager channeled their inner Jack and Rose from Titaniccomplete with a moment of the bow of a ‘ship’.

Let’s take a look at some of the most exciting (so far)…

If we were handing out prizes, we’d throw them at Halle Bailey as Halle Berry.

The Little Mermaid star paid tribute to the Academy Award winner by recreating Berry’s famous look Die another Day character, Jinx Johnson. It’s been 22 years since Berry rocked her orange bikini for the role in the 007 movie, and Bailey’s re-creation was praised by the OG Berry wrote on Instagram: “Awe…my girl did that! What a huge compliment. I love you angel.” (Fun Facts: No, Bailey was not named after Berry. Yes, they met.)

We can’t miss the “Make Me Feel” singer in her ET costume. She debuted the look – a throwback to the ’82s ET the extraterrestrial – in Jennifer Hudson’s show, complete with a stack of prosthetics and a creepy voice to match.

Monáe’s effort was Klum-level, complete with a full-on photo shoot.

For their last Halloween together, the Today with Hoda and Jenna co-hosts were perfect as Winslet’s and DiCaprio’s 1997 Titanic characters. Their hearts will continue…even though they will no longer share their mornings together. Sniff.

As for the rest of the Today show crew? Savannah Guthrie got Legally blonde like Elle Woods from the 2001 film, even with a little Bruiser. Maybe she can wear it again later Legally blonde 3 it now emerges that dressing up for films and concerts is something like that.

It was show time for Al Roker, who dressed as Beetlejuice, complete with rotten teeth and a gravelly voice. The film’s sequel was released this year, decades after the 1988 original, and features much of the original cast, including Michael Keaton.

Dylan Dreyer joined Roker at the Beetle juice, Beetle juice theme, featuring Lydia Deetz, brought to the small screen by Winona Ryder.

Craig Melvin, as Eddie Murphy’s Axel F. Foley from 1984 Beverly Hills agent, wore a varsity jacket as he rolled up the set in a 1972 Chevy Nova. He even made some bananas in the exhaust jokes.

There was also Willie Geist as Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy from 2004 anchorman, Peter Alexander as Robin Williams’s Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Laura Jarrett as 2000s Gabrielle Union’s Isis Just apply it and Carson Daly and Sheinelle Jones in it Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) looks inspired by Mike Myers and Beyoncé (Powers and Foxxy Cleopatra).

“Challengers accepted,” wrote Washington, who posed with her former Scandal co-stars the characters of Zendaya, Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor from the R-rated tennis drama, which was released this year. From one on-screen love triangle to another!

Live! continued his costume-changing madness. Earlier this week, the star couple dressed up as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce (US Open version), the Only murders in the building cast, and the “Die With a Smile” looks of Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.

On the big day they did one Beetle juice, Beetle juice tribute.

The Deadpool and Wolverine actress revisited an old friend: her 13 Goes through 30 character, Jenna Rink. She rocked the dress Jenna wore to a work party in the rom-com – 20 years after the film came out. Garner didn’t hide the fact that she’s 20 years beyond the role, at one point applying retinol cream and using her glasses to do her eye makeup while Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” played.

The Home alone The star knows full well that some NFL fans think he looks like the Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow, so he gave the fans what they wanted by dressing as a quarterback.

“Game on @joeyb_9,” he wrote on Instagram alongside the photos. We can only hope Burrow answers with a Kevin McCallister-themed costume. Happy Halloween, you filthy beasts.

The Pretty little liars actress recycled her Poison Ivy costume, first worn in 2015. “Pulled this costume out of the past and whipped up a $20 wig,” wrote Mitchell, who posed as Harvey Dent with makeup artist Ivan Núñez.

The How I met your mother said, “Swifties get me,” in the caption of her photo. She’s a soccer player and her husband, Alexis Denisof, is Aristotle, a nod to the line “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle” in Taylor Swift’s “So High School” song about Kelce.
