Celtics blow past Pacers and remember Bill Walton with JA Adande | Good word with good will

On today’s episode of Good Word with Goodwill, Vincent Goodwill is joined by Northwestern University sports journalism director JA Adande to recap this weekend’s NBA playoffs.

They discuss the importance of losing in recent seasons for teams on their way to winning the NBA Finals, and share previous elite teams that succeeded after multiple years of losing. They tie this to the Boston Celtics sweep of the Indiana Pacers and the reason why the Minnesota Timberwolves are too early to beat the Dallas Mavericks.

After the Pacers’ brutal series loss, they talk about how they’re in line to take a big step forward in 2025 with their returning roster.

After the break, they remembered legendary NBA player and basketball announcer Bill Walton, sharing some of their favorite memories from his life.
