In what is expected to be an offseason full of changes for the Warriors, they will also be sporting a new look for the 2024-2025 NBA season.

Golden State unveiled a new secondary logo Wednesday morning as part of the new Statement Edition uniforms.

The new logo features a “W” that resembles a basketball net after a ball passes through it, the team said in a news release. It will be prominently featured on the Warriors Statement Edition uniforms and visible on the belt buckle of the team’s Association and Icon uniforms.

“It is widely believed that the Warriors have the best backcourt in the history of the game,” said Benny Gold, who designed the logo for SG&P Design. “The new logo represents the team’s signature style of play by combining a ‘W’ for Warriors with a net symbolizing three-point shooting.

“The monogram is designed to resemble a basketball net and rim, with the slight arc in the ‘W’ giving the impression of a ball falling through the net.”

The long blue line also symbolizes an important landmark of the Bay, as it “mimics the inner wires of cables” that support the Bay Bridge, which “unites the Bay Area communities.”

Warriors sophomore guard Brandin Podziemski, who helped model the new uniforms, appreciates the details.

“What a sweater. Nice details,” said Podziemski. “I like how we incorporated black, blue, gold and gray all into one. You’ll see this new logo on a lot of our jerseys. I think it’s pretty cool. It symbolizes our identity and having great photos. This one blue seam that runs along the jersey and connects to the shorts shows the Bay Bridge.

“I think it makes a statement.”

All Warriors practice and game jerseys will continue to feature the Rakuten badge in the upper left corner.
