Chloe Bailey has seemingly addressed the rumors that she is dating Burna Boy, and her response has made the alleged relationship an even bigger mystery.
During her visit to The Breakfast ClubBailey was asked if she would take a date to the NAACP Image Awards, which she said her godmother or manager was going to. She was then asked if Burna Boy would be next to her on the red carpet, to which she replied, “You should ask him.”
Breakfast club co-host Loren Lorosa kept asking Bailey about Burna and I couldn’t help but wonder how the singer’s trip to Lagos, Nigeria went last month where she hung out with the “Last Last” singer.
“Nigeria is so beautiful. I had a great time. I had a nice meal, I had pepper soup and a lot of spicy chicken. It’s really tasty. I really had a great time,” she said before being asked if she was in a relationship had with Burna. Boy. “Well, I’m a grown woman…[and] he is a grown man, just like I am a grown woman… I had a great time in Nigeria.”
Fans were excited to see a possible relationship between Bailey and Burna when footage of them driving around Lagos in a Lamborghini. The two were also seen getting close at a club and holding hands on a separate night. Things got even more interesting when Bailey wore Burna’s “ODG” necklace.
Burna’s last public relationship was with Stefflon Don between 2019 and 2021. Bailey, on the other hand, has been linked to a number of major artists, but she has not publicly confirmed any relationship with them. In a conversation with ESSENCE in December, Bailey said she was focusing on her career before starting a family.
“I’ve always had baby fever, but I know I’m not physically and mentally ready to give birth to a beautiful child,” she said. “I have a lot of things in my career that I want to accomplish first, and I still want to be a little selfish.”
