CHP issues Ebony Alert, searches for 16-year-old last seen in Vacaville

The California Highway Patrol issued an Ebony Alert late Friday night for the missing person of 16-year-old Anaya Maxey, who was last seen near Bucktown Lane and Wild Oak Trail in Vacaville.

Authorities also want to question Darren Sauciercrocket, 23, in connection with Maxey’s disappearance. Sauciercrocket, who has black hair and brown eyes, weighs about 190 pounds and is 6 feet tall.

Maxey, who has burgundy hair and brown eyes, was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans when she was last seen. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She is believed to be in a black sedan.

The CHP activated the Ebony Alert on behalf of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office. The alerts, which went into effect in California this year, alert the public to the “suspicious or unexplained disappearance” of a black youth between the ages of 12 and 25, the CHP says.

If you see Maxey or Sauciercrocket, please call 911 to report the information.
