Cincinnati police are asking the public to help find possible suspects in the Madisonville shooting

Cincinnati police are asking the public to help find the suspect or suspects in a shooting Saturday in Madisonville that left five people injured.

Four of the victims suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening, while the remaining are in critical condition, according to a statement issued by police on Sunday. It happened at a community meeting in Bramble Park at about 6:30 p.m

Police are now asking anyone with information to assist with the investigation.

“How does a gathering in our local park, a place of peace and happiness, turn into a dark moment of pain and suffering?” reads the statement on Facebook. “Our investigators need your help and cooperation to quickly identify those responsible for this heinous act.

“We cannot allow our vibrant communities to be overtaken by cowardly individuals, those who see no harm in causing us pain, and sometimes even death.”

There have been 112 shootings in Cincinnati this year, according to public data. One of those was in Madisonville, when police responded to a shooting on May 24.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
