A Cobb County landscaper says he’s out of work after someone stole his equipment.
He thought he had made a breakthrough in the case when he came across some of his stolen equipment on Facebook Marketplace.
He even arranged a meeting with the man who listed the stolen equipment and arranged for an undercover agent to accompany him.

But that meeting never happened.
It’s peak season for Michael McBrayer, owner of a landscaping company.
“I have absolutely nothing right now. No income,” McBrayer said Michele Newell, Channel 2’s Cobb County Bureau Chief.
For the first time in 22 years, he has to cancel appointments.
“As far as my clients go, I lose $1,000 to $1,200 every week,” McBrayer said.
It all stems from what McBrayer claims someone stole from his driveway in Cobb County.
“My lawn mower, trailer and push mower were stolen from my truck here in the middle of the night,” he said.
He says he reported it to the police the next day when he discovered everything had been stolen.
McBrayer went to Facebook Marketplace to look for new equipment and found his.
“This is the actual photo of my lawn mower that he advertised on Facebook,” McBrayer said.
Then he saw alarming reviews about the man on his marketplace page.
“This is the conversation we had with him on Facebook. Setting up a time to meet,” McBrayer said.
He said he and an undercover officer waited for the man to show up, but that never happened.

“Please help me. Tell me where it is. Help me get it and get back to work,” McBrayer said.
The research is still very recent.
No one has been charged yet.
Therefore Channel 2 Action News does not name the man McBrayer says committed the crimes.
