Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the season yet in the Philadelphia region, with widespread temperatures near or below freezing. The wind won’t be as strong, but any breeze will reduce the wind chill quite a bit.
Highs will only be in the low 50s under sunny skies. Clouds will thicken Thursday ahead of another system with a chance of showers Thursday evening, although it looks like the most steady rain will miss us to the south. Then we’ll be back to the low 60s by the weekend. Right now it looks dry for Thursday night’s Eagles game, but temperatures will be chilly. Wear layers for good fall football weather.
Temperatures will climb back into the 60s this weekend and the weather will once again be dry.
We should also keep our eyes on the tropics again as another system could develop next week that could potentially become a hurricane.
Florida should keep a close eye on this one as models show it making landfall somewhere near Fort Myers on Wednesday. This has also been delayed relocation of the SS United States. If developed, it will be called Sara. The National Hurricane Center currently has a 90% chance of this happening.
