College sports are turning into NASCAR and championship-winning rosters

On today’s episode, Dan Wetzel, Ross Dellenger and SI’s Pat Forde react to news of the Big 12 exploring selling their naming rights to a corporate sponsor. Dellenger explains all the complex details involved in changing the names of a conference, while Forde and Wetzel ridicule the potential outcomes.

After the break, Wetzel shares a trend among the national championship winning squads of the past four years, including the return of the team’s head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and quarterback. They discuss the handful of teams that meet those criteria and predict how they will fare in 2024.

Later, they participate in the College World Series jello shot competition, joking about which teams are struggling the most.

To close out the show, producer Joe recaps his ridiculous fantasy football punishment from last weekend, which involved sitting in a McDonald’s for 24 hours.
