CHIPPEWA COUNTY – A portion of M-28 near Raco will be under construction for most of the summer.
Beginning Monday, June 10, the five-mile stretch of road between Dick Road and Sullivan Creek Trail will be completely renovated.
The Michigan Department of Transportation’s $1.3 million project includes filling cracks, adding rumble strips and pavement markings, repairing guardrails and more, in addition to a complete surface resurfacing.
One lane will be open for alternating traffic, with a lane restriction of 11 meters.
The project is expected to be completed by September 27.
