(CBS DETROIT) – Cookies sold at Midwest retailer Meijer have been recalled because they contain undeclared milk, officials said.

Too Good Gourmet of San Lorenzo, California, has recalled its Meijer Dunking Cookies Chocolate Chip due to the allergen, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said.

The recalled product contains a milk allergen that was not listed on the label. Meijer was not notified of the label error.

The product was sold in a tall, clear 10 oz. container with a blue and white label with UPC 713733712972 and included all expiration dates.

The recalled cookies were sold in Meijer stores in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin. No customer complaints or illnesses have been reported to Meijer or Too Good Gourmet in connection with this recall.

According to the FDA, customers who are allergic or hypersensitive to milk are at risk of a life-threatening reaction if they eat these cookies.

People who purchased these recalled cookies should stop eating them and return the product to the customer service desk of a Meijer store to receive a full refund.

If you have any questions, please contact Meijer at 800-543-3704, 7am-1am EDT daily, or Too Good Gourmet at 510-317-8150, 8am-5pm PST, Monday through Friday.
