Costco is a popular warehouse club with hundreds of locations worldwide. The retailer has more than 600 clubs in the United States and Puerto Rico, and continues to expand to help more people keep more money in their checking accounts.

Three more clubs are opening in U.S. cities in October. If you don’t already have a club near you, you might be wondering if any of these new locations will open in your area. Here’s what you need to know.

These Cities Will Welcome Costco This Fall

Costco lists upcoming club locations on its website. According to the retailer, new clubs will open in three U.S. cities this fall, two of which are in California.

New clubs will open at these locations in October:

  • Napa, California

  • Bend, Oregon

  • Pleasanton, California

No exact opening dates or club hours have been announced at this time. If you have questions about any of these clubs, contact Costco for more information. If you live near these cities, consider becoming a member to shop for members-only deals.

If you don’t live in these areas, checking out upcoming club openings on Costco.com is a great way to stay informed. The company is constantly expanding. The retailer opened new clubs in six other U.S. cities earlier this summer.

This is the cost to become a member of Costco

Want to become a Costco member? You’ll need to pay an annual membership fee, which currently ranges from $60 to $120.

However, membership prices are going up in September. Starting September 1, 2024, these annual fees will cost $65 to $130. Fortunately, the price difference won’t be that big.

For many shoppers, this annual fee is well worth the cost, given the savings they get. Costco also offers a money-back guarantee on memberships. But only invest in a membership if you can afford the extra cost.

Maximize your savings at Costco

Costco is known for its low prices. But the retailer also offers additional discounts. If you want to maximize your savings, stay alert for current sales. You can check out deals and promotions on Costco.com or the Costco mobile app.

Doing this before you go to your local club is a smart idea because you can maximize your savings. It’s also a smart idea because you can put together a shopping list before you arrive so you won’t be tempted to overspend by adding items you don’t need.
