Public input is being sought on plans to build a roundabout at the intersection of Lexington-Springmill and Home roads in Troy Township.
The Richland County Engineer’s Office, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation District 3, is proposing the $4.6 million project, which includes the relocation of the B&O Trail, along with stormwater updates, culvert replacements and improvements to the street lighting. Engineer Adam Gove said the roundabout is needed to improve safety by reducing the frequency and severity of crashes at the intersection.
Construction of the roundabout is expected to begin in the spring of 2026 and take about 150 days. Part of the construction will require a detour. The closure is expected to take place in the summer and last about 90 days.
