PITTSFORD TWP. – A couple was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 8, after a brief high-speed chase and foot pursuit in southern Hillsdale County.
According to the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department, an officer attempted to stop a minivan for expired license plates and no insurance, but the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed eastbound on Reading Road.
Officers were able to gather in the area as the chase wound its way through the southern half of Hillsdale County, and stop sticks were successfully deployed.
The pursuing units lost sight of the vehicle just south of Pittsford and ended the pursuit; however, the vehicle was found a few minutes later. According to officers, a woman – identified Thursday as 48-year-old Sarha Lynne Brown – attempted to run on foot. She was charged with resisting arrest.
