Two men are facing weapons and other charges after Erie police accused them Monday of threatening others with weapons during weather-related incidents.
A 51-year-old man is charged with failure to possess a firearm, possession of an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault, intimidation and disorderly conduct in an incident that police say happened around 11:55 a.m. Monday in the 600 block of West Fifth Street.
According to police, some residents of the block were clearing snow from a parking lot when the suspect pulled his vehicle into the cleared spot. When the people who had cleared the spot told the man that it was not right for him to park in the spot they had cleared, the man reportedly went to his home, returned with a gun and started waving it around as he warned people not to touch his vehicle. , Deputy Chief Rick Lorah said Tuesday morning.
Police took the man into custody in the 600 block of West Fifth Street and seized a gun, Lorah said.

Another man is charged with carrying a firearm without a permit, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and criminal trespass in an incident that police say happened shortly before 3 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Buffalo Road.
Lorah said the suspect allegedly got into an argument with a tow truck driver and pulled a gun from his waistband before fleeing to a home. Police later found the man hiding in a closet in the home and recovered a gun, he said.
