Creative Aging Programs Supported at Batesville Library

July 4—INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Arts Commission announced that 36 libraries have received training and grants through Lifelong Arts Indiana, a program that promotes arts and creativity services to adults 65 and older.

Each library will receive up to $5,000 to host programs for seniors, supported by the Indiana Arts Commission in partnership with the Family and Social Services Administration.

Libraries receiving funding and the projects they support include Batesville Memorial Public Library, Ripley County, “Creative Aging: Life Drawing.”

Participating libraries were identified in partnership with the Indiana State Library and given the opportunity to attend a training on creative aging best practices and apply for an Early Action Grant to apply their learning in their own communities.

The funded programming will take place between 1 June 2024 and 13 December 2024. — Information provided
