Cruise-In for Charity features cars, auction

Mike Thomas

Now that the nice summer weather is finally here, it seems like there’s a car show or cruise-in every night of the week. We hope to use the appeal of classic cars to raise money for two local charities, and we invite you to take part.

On June 27, the Building Industry Association of Stark & East Central Ohio will host a Cruise-In at the Jackson Amphitheater, 7454 Community Parkway in Jackson Township. The event, which takes place from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, will feature many generations and varieties of cars. We also have food trucks, great music from DJ Jim Kelly, prizes and door prizes.

Come take a look at the classic and custom cars from your high school days and talk to the owners about the fun of owning one of these cars. Make sure you vote for your favorite car: there are six categories.

Better yet…do you have a car you’d like to show off? Please get the word out and get involved. There is a $10 admission fee, and all proceeds will go to the Aultman Foundation and the BIA Foundation.

We have some fantastic items to offer at auction. More gifts and prizes are coming in every day, so your chances of having fun, seeing great cars, and winning prizes or money look pretty good if you attend!

Make your summer a little more memorable and fun by joining us for the Cruise-In for Charity at the Jackson Amphitheater on June 27.

RSVP to the BIA at 330-494-5700 or info@biastark.org.

Mike Thomas will serve as the 2024 president of the Building Industry Association of Stark & East Central Ohio.
