A Hartford man has been found guilty of sexual assault stemming from a 2023 incident involving a minor, officials said.
A Hartford Superior Court jury convicted 61-year-old Hector Hariprasad of Hartford on multiple charges, according to the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice. Hariprasad was found guilty of two counts of second-degree sexual assault, one count of fourth-degree sexual assault, one count of first-degree unlawful restraint and furnishing liquor to a minor.
According to evidence presented at trial, on May 29, 2023, the suspect provided alcohol to an underage woman who was invited by an underage friend to spend the night at Hariprasad’s house. When the minor was drunk, Hariprasad committed the assault.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Alexandra Arroyo and Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney Stacey Cox, with the invaluable assistance of Detective Inspector Carlos Ocasio and Paralegal Antoine Campbell. The Honorable Michael J. Gustafson presided over the proceedings.
