Daniel Dubois vs Anthony Joshua live results: Updates, highlights, analysis as heavyweights battle for IBF title

British boxer Anthony Joshua, who knocked out former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in the second round in March, will take on IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois at a sold-out Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Joshua remains one of the biggest names in boxing, having won four straight bouts after losing twice to division king Oleksandr Usyk.

Dubois fights for his reputation as hard as he defends his title. Many observers believe that Dubois forfeited his 2020 fight against Joe Joyce, choosing not to continue after being knocked down by a jab in the 10th round.

Dubois would look to redeem his name with a stellar performance against Joshua, but the former IBF, IBO and WBO champion is no easy feat.

Today we learn a lot about both fighters.

Live24 updates

  • Round 1

Dubois comes out aggressive and attacks AJ. Dubois jab looks great. Dubois is definitely the aggressor. And a big right hand drops Joshua!! AJ survives!

    Dubois, 10-8

  • Michael Buffer now introduces the national anthems and then the fighters.

  • Anthony Joshua walks to a Godfather theme/Jay Z mashup. Nice.

  • Dubois does look confident. This could be fun.

  • And Daniel Dubois walks away during what the commentator calls the greatest event in Wembley history.

  • Bud Crawford and Devin Haney are in attendance, as seen on the broadcast just now.

  • And so the Liam show is over. Apparently it was over a few years ago.

  • Now airing is a short film by Guy Ritchie. A bunch of boxers on this card are put in horrible situations and appear dead — including Anthony Joshua — but come back to life to sing “Sweet Caroline.”

    You can’t make this up

  • “Cigarettes & Alcohol” is the next track, and that’s probably why Liam doesn’t sound that great anymore.

So far it’s only been songs from Oasis’ debut album “Definitely Maybe,” and we absolutely hate this performance.

  • Here comes “Supersonic” from 1994. Liam doesn’t seem interested in singing well at all. This is art.

  • I wonder if this performance might make Noel doubt himself. Who are we kidding? No.
