Deion Sanders takes Colorado to bowl eligibility for the first time in eight years

Overall, it’s not that difficult to qualify for bowling in today’s NCAA. Win six out of twelve matches.

However, Colorado had not done this since 2016. And after a 3-0 start in his first season turned into a 1-8 conference record, it seems like Deion Sanders’ second season in Boulder wouldn’t end much better.

A close win over North Dakota St. and a 28-10 loss to Nebraska seemed to indicate things would go that way. But then the victories came. Five out of six games. And after beating Cincinnati on Saturday night, the Buffaloes are 6-2 – and eligible to bowl.

They have four games left and they are still very much alive for a spot in the Big 12 Championship.

Although dealing with the media before the start of the season was unfortunate, Deion has gradually improved. In addition to the built-in charisma that comes from any program he coaches, winning will make him attractive to a higher-level program.
