PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It’s time to indulge in a delicious meal again, because Center City Restaurant Week is back in town with a bunch of fantastic deals!
On Sunday, Restaurant Week returned to Center City, showcasing the area’s unique culinary scene with discounted menus at more than 100 locations.
City Center Restaurant Week is perfect for locals and visitors looking to try a new restaurant and score a great deal at the same time. From Sunday to Saturday, September 21, foodies can enjoy three-course prix fixe menus for just $40 or $60. Or if you’re in the mood for an early dinner, restaurant-goers can grab a two-course lunch for just $20.
Oloroso Chef Jason Peabody said the specials are boosting sales as summer draws to a close.
“It brings people back to the city after not being at the beach all summer,” Peabody said.
Nathalie Kanda, who dined at Oloroso on Sunday, is one of many who use the biennial event to try out new eateries and take advantage of special offers.
“It’s a good deal, you can try a little bit of everything for a very reasonable price,” Kanda said.
And with traffic will increase on Tuesday for the presidential debate at the National Constitution CenterThe hope is that these visitors will stay all week and spend time in businesses and restaurants in the city.
“It’s going to bring in so much business,” Peabody said. “It’s going to be pretty wild here.”
Visitors visiting restaurants participating in Restaurant Week can park for $10 or less at participating parking lots operated by BexPark by Brandwine Realty Trust, Interpark, LAZ Parking, and Philadelphia Parking Authority from Sunday through September 21, from 4:45 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
The fixed prices for meals during Restaurant Week are exclusive of tax, alcohol and tips.
