DeMar DeRozan is still adjusting to his new Kings teammates during his first season in Sacramento.

A six-time NBA All-Star and 16-year veteran of the sport, DeRozan has seen it all, but he recently revealed which of his teammates have surprised him the most with their personalities.

“Keegan Murray,” DeRozan said confidently to NBC Sports California’s Morgan Ragan on “Kings Central.” “He’s one of a kind. He’s really monotonous. Quiet. Don’t say much. When he says something, it’s so little, but it has so much impact. Whether it’s hilarious or whether he’s shy in a way.”

“But his personality is unique and unique to me and I enjoy it.”

That includes many Kings fans and players.

Murray mainly lets his play do the talking and makes his way to NBA stardom. But sometimes that’s not enough for his teammates.

Kings guards De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk, and sometimes even coach Mike Brown, have poked fun at Murray’s calm and quiet nature. Over the past three years, they have all encouraged the 24-year-old to break out of his shell.

And he has done that where it counts: on the field.

Things off the court don’t matter to DeRozan, who enjoys Murray just the way he is.

“Let him be him,” DeRozan said. ‘It’s that uniqueness that we all have. He’s just there [a personality] that is very unique. You just have to let him be who he is. That’s the great thing about it.”

As long as Murray continues to grow and make an impact on winning like he has in his first two seasons in Sacramento, the deafening “Keegan Murray” chants that erupt after each of his shots at the Golden 1 Center will have to suffice.
