This week’s celebration focuses on the Polynesian island of Samoa. Samoan artist Kuulei Jakubczak is among the instructors who teach guests how to design a radial pattern, like the traditional Samoan art form Siapo. It is one of the oldest Samoan cultural art forms and involves creating patterns on tree bark or tapa.
