Doval angrily throws an ice chest into the dugout after poor performance against Angels originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
Despite the Giants’ dominant win over the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday at Oracle Park, it wasn’t a good game for closer Camilo Doval.
After giving up four earned runs during the ninth inning of San Francisco’s eventual 13-6 victory, Doval took out his frustrations on an ice chest in the Giants’ dugout.

Doval, who had not pitched since San Francisco’s 5-3 win over the Houston Astros last Wednesday, entered the ninth inning looking to end the game with a 13-2 lead.
Instead, Doval allowed four hits and walked two while walking just one as the Angels began what would have been an incredible comeback. Giants manager Bob Melvin replaced Doval four runs later with Ryan Walker, who struck out the final two batters and secured San Francisco’s victory.
After the tough outing, Doval’s ERA rose from 3.62 to 4.88 – and his anger seemed to be at an all-time high.
