Dozens of people have been killed in the latest Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian reports on Saturday.
Eight people were killed in an Israeli airstrike near the southern city of Khan Younis, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported, citing medical sources.
In addition, five Palestinians were killed in an attack on a car near the city. Among them are said to be three employees of the aid organization World Central Kitchen (WCK).
The organization initially did not want to respond to the report.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they attacked at the site a terrorist involved in the massacre by Hamas militants in Israel on October 7, 2023, which sparked the Gaza War.
The military said it was investigating reports that the man could be a WCK employee.
WAFA reported another fourteen deaths in Israeli attacks in Gaza City, northern Gaza Strip. The IDF said it was investigating the reports, which could not be independently verified.
