Draymond Green is the latest ambassador for Steph Curry’s night-night party.

It had a twist that only Green could give it.

Looking to finish the game late in the fourth quarter, Green threw an emphatic one-handed slam to end the Minnesota Timberwolves’ comeback hopes in the Warriors’ 114-106 victory on Sunday night at Chase Center.

The four-time NBA champion immediately broke out Curry’s signature celebration as he followed Wolves center Rudy Gobert around the court.

Yes Gobert. The same one that Green called “BBQ chicken” in May.

After all, Green attended Team USA’s Olympic gold medal game in Paris in August to witness what may be Curry’s most memorable late-night celebration of his career to date.

And while it wasn’t on the heels of a dagger three-pointer, Curry approves of Green’s first-ever night-night celebration.

“Absolutely,” Curry admitted to Chris Mullin of NBC Sports Bay Area after the game. ‘I’ve never seen him do it. I know he was in Paris for the gold medal match.

“I’m sure he’ll hit dagger three at some point. But the dagger dunk – that’s new territory for the ‘night night’, because you won’t see me do that.”

Although his highlight of the night was his celebration, Green’s impact covered both sides of the ball.

In 31 minutes of play, the Golden State forward ended the game with six points to go, seven assists and six rebounds.

But it’s fair to say that nothing will – or should – top Green’s ‘night-night’.

If anything, hopefully it’s here to stay.
