Draymond receives technology in the second quarter of the Warriors’ season opener, which originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
The 2024-2025 NBA season has only just begun, but Draymond Green is already in mid-major form.
The outspoken Warriors forward picked up his first technical foul of the young season in the second quarter of Golden State’s season opener against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday after expressing his displeasure over an earlier foul.
Just before Green was T’d up, the Warriors star was called for a personal foul after getting tangled at the key with Blazers forward Deni Avdija. The complaining was a bit too much for referee Tre Maddox, who presented Green with his first tech of the year.
After Green’s suspensions and expulsions cost the Warriors in the standings last season, they certainly can’t afford to see their defensive leader ejected in their first game of the season.
Let’s hope Green is on his best behavior in the second half.
